Women In Dialogue. A Collaborative Project In The Time Of Covid
On March the 14th, 2020 MAMC was confronted with a new relevant social reality: Can we still create community by bringing strangers together virtually, to examine an issue while making art together?
Given the dramatic isolation of senior women, what do we do as a society to support them?
MAMC sent packages with art materials as a springboard to inspire creativity.
These women have spoken of their lives in the time of Covid in their books.
These stories declared themselves during 8 sessions of virtual meetings, sharing experiences and responding creatively to the new realities we face. On July 7th, 2020 Women In Dialogue met for the first time at the Evergreen Brickworks to share their books and gather in the flesh for the first time.
Please read our July 2020 Newsletter to find out how impactful Women In Dialogue was.
