The Parkdale Queen West Central site brought together a very passionate group of people who identify as females with interesting lives and stories. Their artwork became the vehicle for these narratives as each participant reflected on journeys, family, the aspects of the city they know, and the objects that have special resonance for each of them. After the initial three weeks, an easy flow became evident in the group dynamics. As Artistic Directors and
co-learners, we know that each encounter with each participant is a building block in MAMC’s outreach into new communities across the city.
